What is a Alpha-Gal diet?
An Alpha-Gal diet eliminates mammalian meat and products containing mammalian-derived ingredients to prevent allergic reactions in people with alpha-gal syndrome. This includes beef, pork, lamb, dairy products, gelatin, and certain medications derived from mammals. The condition involves a specific sugar molecule found in most mammals, often triggered after a tick bite. People may experience delayed allergic reactions 3-6 hours after consuming trigger foods. The diet focuses on safe alternatives like poultry, fish, and plant-based proteins. When followed carefully, often with guidance from an allergist or dietitian, it can prevent serious reactions while maintaining adequate nutrition.

Rao's Sensitive Formula Marinara
I LOVED THIS. I honestly liked it more than regular marinara. I let my gluten free noodles absorb a bit of the sauce, and it was DELICIOUS! Will say though, the sauce was 8$ at my local grocery store, and could not find it anywhere else. An alternative is finding just like a plain base of tomatoes (my local Italiano grocery store sells a "sauce" in 24 oz bottles for 4$.) Just add a bit of asfetifa (spelling...) powder (it's an Indian spice to sub garlic and onion (sold on Amazon).
So Good As A Pizza Sauce!
I always keep this in hand now that I have discovered it!
