Is Isomalt Alpha-Gal Friendly?

Isomalt is a sugar alcohol, or polyol, derived from sugar beets and used as a low-calorie sweetener. It is commonly utilized in sugar-free products, including candies, chewing gums, and baked goods, due to its stability under heat and its ability to maintain a sweet taste without promoting tooth decay. Though it has about half the calories of regular sugar, it can cause digestive discomfort in some individuals, especially when consumed in large quantities.
