What is a Low FODMAP diet?

A Low FODMAP diet limits foods high in certain short-chain carbohydrates (FODMAPs) that can be poorly absorbed in the gut. These include specific sugars found in foods like onions, garlic, beans, apples, and wheat. It's commonly followed by people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or other digestive sensitivities to reduce bloating, gas, and discomfort. The diet typically involves an elimination phase, followed by gradual reintroduction to identify personal triggers. When followed carefully, often with a dietitian's guidance, a Low FODMAP diet can help manage symptoms while maintaining a balanced and varied intake of nutrients.

Like thin mints

Initially I did not like these because I thought they had a chemically, unpleasant smell. I’ve come to realize as I’ve eaten them a bit more that the smell is just chocolate overload. These cookies have a TON of chocolate and that’s not a bad thing. They also smell and taste like they may have some sort of coffee or espresso powder in them, which is what seemed off putting at first but is actually delectable. Looking forward to putting these in my dairy free, gf Ben and Jerry’s sometime.

Delicious!

A must try! They are similar to thin mints. They have a nice crunch and a great balance of chocolatey and minty flavors.
